Both (as quite a few others) started out making clothes for themselves so it makes sense. It's not like they are out there posing for street bloggers to promote the brand. It's just what they like to wear.

there were kids i knew in school that were a cowboy one week, a golfer the next, a skater the next, a tennis guy the next, a bmx biker the next, a hip hop guy the next, then a preppy guy, and so on. they were just kids trying to find their identity. however wooster is old enough to have found his. his identity is a guy that likes to play dress up. which is fine i suppose.

I think being able to appreciate multiple aesthetics allows you to have more fun with fashion, and not have your ego/identity attached to a piece of cloth.
