Chrome Hearts does such a good job with hideous, they hardly needed a collab.

If it was going to be with Rick or Gareth, I'm on the flip side of your opinion. I'd expect showy costume with the latter - just look at the kid's earliest shows. Rick on the other hand, is too "severe" (austere might be a better term) in silhouette – be it fitted or fluid – and I can't see him wanting to fuss it up by agreeing to superfluous embellishment.

Chrome Hearts, even at its quietest, is too loud. It's over-designed, and over-designed usually reads as cheap, even when it's not. I can't help but entertain the thought that at first mention of any sort of collaboration, Michele shrewdly offered Pugh for the taking, grabbing Rick and running for the first flight home faster than you can roll an R.

And the Pugh shoes go right up there with the shoelace Dior's into the most hideous category. Gareth does a lot of collaborations these days, doesn't he? The plastic shoes, the MAC make up, and nor this. I guess he has to pay the rent somehow.
