all tourtists! i teach in soho and we always have students coming back from break in rainbow "I LOVE NEW YORK" shirts. can't knock em because it's purely to remind them of a moment in time albeit such a consumerist statement but i couldnt imagine finding the imagery of "i love new york" enchanting enough if you've spent any time there. i can imagine he is the coolest character in nebraska and really pushing boundaries in his freshmen year at whatever po-dunk art school they have out there.

^Yes tourist wear them, and a gang on the lower east side use to wear them as well. Only reason you see those I <3 NY shirts everywhere is because the original artist from Cooper Union (dont remember his name) never made it a trademark.

Dual WTF since the tag positions infer it is being worn backwards which means that the collar actually opens up the back if worn "right".
