The TB glasses are beautiful. I've been eyeing a few pairs, but don't know much about them. Dumbest ? I'll ask today - worth the price, in comparison with the competition?

depends on who/what you are comparing them against. no doubt quite a bit of a premium to pay for compared to the regular dita offerings (and other niche eyewear makers for the matter), but definitely worth it - one of my favourite eyewear collections in recent times.

I agree it depends on what youre pricing them against. I will say that TB is made at Masunaga in Japan which is the oldest and arguably the best frame manufacturer in Japan. They also make a good portion of Ditas frames. There are quite a few Dita frames that are just as expensive as TB, and dita did just add quite a few new models their line up as well. Aside from styling I personally like these because they are super light and damn comfortable, and the construction pretty interesting. It's actually a complete Titanium semi-rimless frame and the lens sits in an acetate insert which is held in place via nylon wire (like most semi-rimless frames)

On the mykita x DD, I actually posted the wrong pic. I ordered the acetate version as apposed to the horn. It was kind of silly to see the price difference horn @$2k and acetate at $750, especially considering that the only real difference is material of insert around the lens. Hell you could find a number of places that would bespoke horn inserts for a fraction of that $1250 price difference. At $750 they're on par or less expensive than some of the TBs.

And as for the Claire Goldsmiths they're really just a great piece of eyewear, but I'm a little little buyist Ill admit ;)

kunk - lovely shape and design but i personally have been really disappointed by the quality of the leather rick uses these days...kinda like plastic.
