BV doesn't go below 50% off, so it was a little over $1600.
Thanks for the comments. They didn't actually have the vest in my size, so I couldn't get it. I was thinking about calling a couple of other stores to try to find it.
The construction is pretty neat. There's no padding in the shoulders - the roping on the sleevecaps kind of provides the illusion of structure, though, which I like. I think the suit might have too much going on...peaked lapels, slanted hacking pockets, one-button (almost glad I didn't have the choice to buy the vest), but I like it right now.
One thing on it that I haven't seen before and don't really understand. So, normally, the front of a suit has buttonholes on one side, and then buttons sewn on to the other side. This suit has button holes on both sides of the front of the suit. It comes with a pair of buttons, sewn together, that, pushed through each hole, close the suit. You can't really see the difference unless you're up close - from a distance, it looks like a regular button closure). Does that description make any sense? Does anyone understand why the suit would be made that way? Probably because you wear the jacket open with a three piece.
It's a link closure... Odd, but not out there. Works well if you want to have a nice roll to the jacket without it blowing all over the place. Like single link cuffs, I dig them.
