I have this jacket and I tuck the tassels in every time. I am about to loose my patience and cut them off though. I think they detract, not add. Maybe it's not visible in this picture, but with three more tassels in the back (two on the bottom, one on top), it's really an overload. Lovely jacket otherwise. I have the S/S version (recently altered) with the same tassels. Sometimes I tuck them in, sometimes I let them hang. Theoretically they could be used to close the pockets. They don't bother me too much though.

Tokyo has been kind to me. Picked up the two pieces I was after from YY, the 'Che' db jacket and the grey silk coat - tentatively the last season I'll be buying from him. Also a few YY bargains from Space&Co and Monotone, a pair of heavy wool gabardine pants that were basically new for 60% off retail and a wool chinese-collared cardigan for $80.
Found an interesting book called Senseware Tokyo Fiber '09, a Japanese exhibition on innovative fabrics, textiles and their applications, which I kopped as well as Joseph Beuys Coyote and some random CDs.
Ahh, good times, good times.let us raise a toast to ancient cotton, rotten voile, gloomy silk, slick carf, decayed goat, inflamed ram, sooty nelton, stifling silk, lazy sheep, bone-dry broad & skinny baffalo.
