lumen et umbra makes really good linen tees.

Recommended but wasn't it a mix between cotton/linen and silk? I saw it on Darklands, might be this season though.

I must say though, I would be very careful with 100% linen. It usually stretches and becomes misshapen or wrinkles. I would suggest a mix of linen/cotton or other material.

Is Majestic actually unisex in cut then?

Rick mainline tees are the usual choice for me, lately purchased a few Enfin Leve tees (the eorri ones) and was surprised how good the quality is.

Does anybody know how are the BBS11 tees compared to Boris mainline?

a year late but, the quality is not comparable, I really dislike the synthetic feel and the poor quality dye they use, the difference is quite big, i can't say that for every single model tee, but without comparing with your own eyes in daylight you might not know unless you're seasoned.

definitely, in spite of the lagging quality, silent does do some very nice cuts, similar to the classic odyn curved seam.

you are talking about the curved seam tee, no?

as for me, most of my basics are _7 and MA, but i've been very happy with, and had good experiences with song for the mute, devoa, and of course the aforementioned julius. i'd recommend anyone who hasn't to give those a try.

not sure if anyone fancies silent t shirts, they are my go to, however i would say they would only last probably a season

but pricepoint wise, they are prolly only 1/2 or 1/3 of what rick and bbs t shirts are going for, so lasting just a season doesnt matter

fabrics gets a little furry especially for me if i carry a sling bag with me.
the fit length and thickness works alright for me though

tried out rick, julius, and bbs, the materials do feel a little too fine for me, after a few wears, holes start appearing

well devoa t shirts are good too, i do like the little extra thickness in the fabrics from silent and devoa

but well maybe its just me

I think I might try American Apparel´s long t-shirts. I got some regular ones that I used to wear regularly and they lasted about four years until the first tiny holes appeared.

silent is fine for basics, but definitely only on sale. not sure about all their shirts, but the one i have is very thick double layer cotton, very warm.

i appreciate wanting to save $ on basics, but in my experience nothing beats a rick unstable cotton t. i have a few going on 5 years with regular machine washing that are damn near good as new. their durability is severely underrated and the cut/fit is unbeatable. if you can find them on sale for under $200 i recommend stocking up.

the silk/viscose shirts are even more durable, but they don't drape or fit nearly as well.
