Was going to start a new thread but it sorta relates to this. Personally I have always felt that some of the pieces most commonly worn on SZ would look better and more "normal" (in a good way) if they were used more subtley. Probably the worst example ever; that infamous marc jacobs photo were he is wearing his version of a all out RO fit (although not doing it justice and isn't a great one) with the RO sneakers, and there is the guy the in the back in the nypd with just that, some low profile jeans and the RO hitops on. The guy wearing the sneakers in a much lower profile manner makes the sneakers look way better; I know many posters here also hate the sneakers but in that look they look very balanced. I often feel most RO leathers also look best in a look were the jacket can be the main piece with just plaining pants/shoes. Probably can dig up some more examples when I'm not also trying to write an assignment.

Not sure what other posters here think... and feel free to move this out of this thread Faust but just looking for some opinions/thoughts.

I think that's kind of what I do when it comes to dressing. I prefer simple outfits over overwrought ones. However, that's me. It can work the other way around too - andrewisawarlord consistently proves this (as does baizilla) - his (their) outfits are more complicated, but they work very well.

Today at work one of my clients said I looked like a 'Bover Boy'. I was all like, what the fuck is that? He said It's a cross between a punk/skinhead from the 60's who used to go around hurting people. lol.

I was just weearing boots, tightish raw denim, grey long coat, double layer tee. Nothing amazing. Could possibly be my current hair-cut that set him off, though. Kinda military inspired at present.

All in all fucking random and I still can't find any information on actual 'Bover Boys'

I go to college in an area surrounded by council estates , I love the honesty of the kids , us students are called ''Townies'' because they assume we come from the city if we dont dress appropriately for the area.Got called ''Back to the Future'' yesterday,to be honest I have neever seen that film - hope its their skewered version of a compliment.

+ regarding Uncontrol,pretty much guessed his fit pic would be in his bedroom...love the see how that translates to a public environment(loves a strong word...morbidly curious is probably more fitting)
