Just found a cobbler in my place having the rubber heel and sole pad. However they just have the pads from Sviq srl and Dainite. Can anyone give me comments on both?

      Scarred horse

Been reading through some pages now, but can't seem to find out how to take care of my Augusta scarred horse boots. Seems lile the digferent surfaces will need different kind of care? Any tips or recommendations? Pic of the leather is in the link. Thanks http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...psrt7qs04u.jpg

Question for all the fellas recommending Nick's in Toronto - does he do Dunks as well?

Anyone have any leads in Montreal as well? :)

I don't see why not. I would take the shoes in and speak with them.

Backing this up. They do great work and are familiar with some of the brands discussed here.

                  NYC

Any suggestions besides Firm in NYC? I took a pair of Guidis there a while back and I was not pleased with the work they did (sanding down sole/sides, forefoot already peeling up). Just seeing if anyone has used someone else. I have some new A1923s I need to get to get "vibrammed"

I've vibrated many pairs with the firm, never a single issue. it's not a difficult job.

Is the firm able to fix a pair of shoes with a zipper that just won't zip? The zipper on my geo keeps separating every time i zip up

Just use a pliers to gently tighten the slider and you should be good

Thanks i suggested that to a cobbler in the firm but he stated that it isn't so much the slider but the zips are loose and flabby due to wear.

In this case he stated that to get it replaced but do you know where i can independently purchase new zip and sliders that rick owens uses?

Did you tell them explicitly NOT to sand down? Just curious.
