Seriously, that was a great deal. I thought it was my lucky day until the I clicked on it only to find the familiar "sold out" notice. Damn yoox.

does any1 know how warm it is? haven't seen the down coat version. If its warm enough for philly or even chicago winter i would be seriously tempted.

I have it...in Montreal on a typical winter day, it doesn't cut it without heavy layering.

I have the moleskin and nylon long version of these, and it's just barely warm enough for mid-atlantic winters. It's also not as puffy as some other down coats I have.

Thanks, Fenix and acel. I have only tried on the fw07 and fw08 ones (no padding).

few coats stand up to a typical montreal winter without layering

Tried it at DSM and loved it. The fit is great, I love the Edwardian cut and the high vent on the back. Of course, I would immediately dye it black...

I dunno, that's what I like to admire the Soloist from a distance. I think it would do a disservice to his works purpose to just dye his pieces black (in order to fit ones's likings). Although, I certainly can relate.
