I don't like the undertone of this comment. There are other professions where people walk naked (e.g., burlesque dancer, photography/painting model, cirque du soleil acrobat). The negative underpinning of your comment towards stripper was very unnecessary.

You could have gone with: some of them found it inappropriate; it is not usually part of their job description; etc.

I don't really see how he's stigmatizing being a stripper and being naked. It's a part of their job, it's no different than saying a criminal defense lawyer saves criminals. It's not a statement on them being better or worse than anyone else.

A stripper goes into that profession and is expected to be naked, where as runway models do not.

Lets, when a designer sends them down the runway in a manner that's meant to bring attention to them. Cause we are not talking some "artsy" editorial here, but a runway show. Mot trying to devalue your point, but context also matters.

I also think decency laws might be part of this. Breasts are ok, genitalia is not. (In the US). Of course laws come from mores, etc.

Don't you think this says a lot more about how you view strippers than how I do? Their job description is in the bloody name - strippers. I am not giving that any negative value, just saying that when you get into stripping, you know you might be asked to get your cock out at some point. The same is not true for models. Nothing to do with assuming they are better or have more dignity. Come on, it's not like modelling is a profession to be admired for how dignified it is.
