I also don't find it very surprising. They're not strippers so I think it can be expected not everyone would be cool with walking naked. I wouldn't.Hi. I like your necklace. - It's actually a rape whistle, but the whistle part fell off.

You could have gone with: some of them found it inappropriate; it is not usually part of their job description; etc.
Let's try not to stigmatize professions, races, religions, etc.

I don't really see how he's stigmatizing being a stripper and being naked. It's a part of their job, it's no different than saying a criminal defense lawyer saves criminals. It's not a statement on them being better or worse than anyone else.
A stripper goes into that profession and is expected to be naked, where as runway models do not.

Lets, when a designer sends them down the runway in a manner that's meant to bring attention to them. Cause we are not talking some "artsy" editorial here, but a runway show. Mot trying to devalue your point, but context also matters.
I also think decency laws might be part of this. Breasts are ok, genitalia is not. (In the US). Of course laws come from mores, etc.
Anyway, I have more to say on this, but give me a few days to publish my musings.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
