As a local, maybe you can tell me what's with all the weird flies and ants in Poissy? They were literally everywhere. We thought we had arrived to a scene from the Bible or something.

Ah, you mean the "storm bugs" ? Usually you meet those in the country, or at least near the crop fields ; when the weather turns muggy they seem to hatch massively and fly around, generally ending on everything white enough to attract them, and crawling there by dozens. After the harvest they disappear completely, but they make the last days of june quite difficult to bear before that.

Actually feel like i need to punch Carol, those damn jointed boots had me walking list night like I was standing on nails.....

Yeah Chinorlz has mentioned that those boots are brutal on the feet. I know ccp requires dedication, but definitely more than a little intimidated especially by your affirmation of the pain they bring. I don't need supreme comfort, but standing on nails might be where I draw the line :)
