But what about us hotheads, whose core temperature is such that wearing a scarf at temps above 0 is a discomfort, yet wearing gloves a delight? Are we forever doomed to a choice between discomfort and silliness? Must we wear summer weight scarves for the sake of this ostensible axiom?

CCP and RO are sometimes difficult to match, and you can see it in the mirror pic. The top is too long, and gives your hips in addition a quite feminine shape - not that its a problem for me.

funny though you had go back three years to find that photo.

I think i still would wear something similar though, im sure i did this summer; marvie pants bare ankles with m.a+ boots or avantindietro, then id throw on a scarf sometimes when it got cooler later.

But i still would never put on gloves without my neck being covered, still seems weird to me.

Not sure that you got my point.

I was just pointing ironically that your sartorial assertion was :

- self-contradictory, since you've been wearing scarf+bare calves, which is very close for me to gloves+no scarf.

- silly to me, since nobody here dresses only for practical reason. Hence wearing scarf+no gloves, scarf+bare calves, shorts+boots is absolutely ok for me. Only problem is when the fit is a disaster, like mine above (but it's an alternate shot, the true one was with sandals, not boots). But I was fine with yours.

In addition, you can't ignore that designer gloves are often not very warm (unlined leather takes immediately the temperature of the outside), hence I'd see gloves more than an accessory than a true technical garment - even though it helps a bit when the weather outside is not too cold.

Anyway, I had a good laugh - wich makes that the day is not lost.

EDIT : I'm perfectly fine with sandals+scarf - and a lot of designers make summer scarves, often in linen, that are just accessories and surely not meant to keep you warm.
