Looks good ACM but man I just cannot imagine you in Ohio. I'm from there originally and just cannot deal with sticking out from my environment to such a degree. I remember when a guy in slim pants was enough to warrant stares and "fag" from Ohioans.

Thanks a lot, I just love this piece. Epitome of all things Rick (what he used to be anyway). Believe it or not, I seem to get along just fine in Ohio. Most of my day is spent in the Fashion School at Kent State University, so pieces like this are definitely met with awe over criticism. When I'm at the grocery store is a slightly different story hahaha

bson, yes, it's a tad long. i'm getting the sleeves shortened. I could get the hem shortened too, but the only tailor i trust would charge $150 for a job like that (the dry cleaner charges $40, but i wouldn't feel comfortable having them doing it). i think it's acceptable. plenty of over sized coats hit below the knees.

Not sure if it's meant to be 'over-sized'! Check out the runway fit here. Interesting to note that she didn't style it with the real fur collar; the fake fur frames the shoulders a little less largely, more like having it worn without the collar all-together as in your picture. (Though I'd want the real fur too myself ). I would def look into getting it tailored, though long sleeves arent so bad in winter! I remember trying it on and was surprised how much tighter it felt than it looks, keep it though!!

Very interesting bson, it always struck me as an opulent piece (my tailor thought it was a cashmere blend when in reality it's just a really thick and heavy cotton/silk blend) that called for a more indulgent styling. I'm almost relieved to see it paired with plain trousers and tall lace up boots on the runway as opposed to the styling shot shown above which I took as a reference. Unfortunately I'm several inches shorter than the models, but the image definitely gives me some ideas as to what to do with the coat. Many, many thanks for the link.
