im a fan of the upturned blazer cuff look...unfortunately i dont have any jackets that would look good with this effect. I think CCP suit jackets in particular work well with this look.

merz i can see how that effect may be unsettling for some, but i find it interesting (hope you don't get offended by this comment) in a way that it adds a dimension of surreality to the look, kinda like Margiela twisted avant style. Definitely more interesting than going with a Pirates black patch, although I imagine that would've gone well with some of your dark RG.

I think recently there was a post with a BMW enthusiast because he and another forumite were at Louis Boston at the same time and he commented on the car.</P>


If it is in the Formalwear Porn thread and it is the pics I am thinking of those are not actual members of the forum and they were commenting on the hilarity of the pictures.</P>

I also like how there's a bunch of guys who dress like Dubya and who post pics of themselves on the webz - it's weird and kind of sweet in away. </P>

ah you're referring to el guapo wongo...he's got quite the collection of Armani suits. I believe he is a VIP there and has had lunch with Giorgio once as the company's gesture of gratitude. i like his pics because i never see anyone on these forums wearing GA. </p>

I'm puzzled bythe need to "subtly" throw in pictures of houses or cars.. I wouldn't mind seeing pics of peoples homes on SZ, but imotheres a pretty obvious line betweenflaunting and showing something for the sake of discussing interiors etc. even though people here post expensive purchases and such, I atleast like tobelieve it has more to do with actual interest in the garments, or even just being proud of acquiring something interesting/special, rather than being proud ofwhat it cost.</P>

i'm less interested in the conspicuous consumption aspects of his post than i am in the simple fact the he's chosen to document his life in this level of detail, which i find fascinating.
