I concur. I hate black suits with anything except white, grey, light blue, or lighter purple. Even then, I think the blue or purple are extremely difficult to pull off. Everything else looks like schtick. I have two shirts I wear with my black suit: white and grey with club collar.

fuuma great outfit apart from boot-tuck, just looks out of place with everything else (althought they do match the colour of the sculpture quite well). scarf is beautiful

black suits are a complete no no for business wear, and not just for grunts! in fact if I saw someone with a black formal suit on in a business environment I'd think they were a grunt! they'd probably be wearing pointy brown shoes too.

hmm, interesting.. I wear a black suit quite often, though mostly with a shirt sans tie. then again half the time I substitute trousers for slim black jeans, so its more of a blazer type outfit anyway.

I'm sure you're not a grunt :). By business I suppose I mean old-fashioned business (which is what Faust meant I think by the grunt thing) - and I don't think that's what you do. Creative business is different, but I'm old fashioned so I think old fashion business wear should style adhere to some old fashioned rules. Like no black suits or brown shoes.
