they are made by the viennese family company called maftei with
a really long tradition. those shoes are not cheap, but i really have
fallen in love with that quality since I saw their shoes for first time ;-)

the funny/ sad thing is that they sell those shoes as well in
moscow but then they cost three times more than here ;-)
(around 2500$, but probably if they were cheaper nobody
would buy them).

Agree with gerry, no point in wrapping other than for decoration which to me isn't very masculine at all plus a beanie when it's hot? Comes off a bit too try hard, I liked your other looks cas but this ones a no go fo sho.

I maintain that the skirt/pants combo works here. if the skirt were shorter or the pants were longer or cas was not cas it would not work. I couldn't pull it off, but cas absolutely does (and tiger probably could too.)

i think the beanie looks great because of the tank-top and because it's California is has kind of a 'skateboard chic' tone too it that isn't too try hard at all. my problem is also the footwear; i disagree with laika that something more open would work better, however...i think something like the rick owens size zip boots that i think i saw you with ( i know the andrew member had them) would cover more leg and make things appear less beachy...maybe with those specific cropped trousers it still wouldn't gel but with something that falls into a boot more.

its a pretty basic beanie. not too far off the skull caps damir doma put out this s/s. i mean if it was those bless fur collars or a thick wool one it would be completely impractical given the climate but i think this is fine.

i have been to LA several times and maybe i remember wrong but isnt the skull beanie common among the surfer/skateboarding type there, casius? and it's CA so i doubt the temperature is ever brisk enough to actually have to wear a beanie but i think it makes a cool accessory.

Yea, everyone wears a beanie here, pretty much year 'round. One of the reasons I put it on, is I use it to tame my hair down a bit in the morning. lulz

christianef- I usually do wear those boots with those pants (ala Rick's FW08 look) so I definitely agree with you. :)
