the identikit rick leather, sneaks, tanks looks are rubbish in my view. no imagination, no flair, just box ticking.

Another case of the clothes wearing you instead of the other way around. It's a shame too, because it doesn't do Rick's aesthetic any justice. It comes across as just a cool jacket or a cool pair of sneakers but the ideas behind the clothes are totally vapid. Rick is all about proportions and the silhouette. The leathers and sneaks should really be the icing on the cake, not the meat and potatoes.

As shye mentioned, rick sneaks just don't look good with a tight leg pant, especially for people under 6'. Try it with a looser fuller cut pant, it will come across far less gimmicky.

I think this combo works just fine. I think this adds up to the exaggerated big shoe effect and accentuates them better.

I find that a rather silly statement. But how can somebody be too ginger for a certain designers clothes?Cas is fair,as i see most models used by rick in shows or lookbooks are.
I think the tones he uses work well with his complexion.

Agree, saw this and loved it. On closer inspection I would say tucked boots don't work, but overall, this is great, Cas. Totally effortless, which few people can pull off.
Now, if only I were to finally get the pants I bought from you we would both be looking good...

Yeah, the 'ginger' comment was out of left field. I think Cas pulls off Rick way better than the average person and it has more to do with the way the pieces are combined and his frame than it does with anything else.
It's not complexion that's a make or break (if this guy was being serious at all) I've seen the look work on yellow skin, pale skin, tan skin and black skin.
Take a look at a runway sometime...there are grips of 'gingers' on them chosen by the designer to pull an outfit off with similar tones (which is basically black, warm brown, gray, gray and white) that rick uses.
Not an issue.
