I used to go to Nobu everytime I visited NY, but last time I was there, my friend took me there and payed for everything, so it was amazing and free hehehe.

diego, you want to masa????????? NICE!

i really want to go, but i need someone else willing to drop that kind of cash to go there for dinner.

you should go to per se. it's really delicious and half the price of masa.

        [/quote]

yes and no. it's much easier to drop major cash on wine at per se, i think.

Shit!! I'll stay away from the chateau lafite and petrus then.

ha. i love wine it's just that i'm kinda allergic to alcohol. for some reason, wine exacerbates these reactions. my max is one glass.

One wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.

yeah. it was sort of a shocking reminder of how out of place i was in that restaurant.

Yes it was worth it, I would have paid if my friend had given me the chance. for me it rivals fukuzushi in roppongi (best sushi I'v ever had).

dinner at blue hill, drinks at little branch

dinner at 15 east, drinks at park bar

blue hill is great- PARK BAR is the best bar. that is my local... and my best friend bartends there. it is a crazy bar for sure a must go.

                          Japanese - Masa

                          French - L'atelier d Joel Robuchon

I'v heard a lot of Per se, I think I'll go when I visit in May.

A friend of mine has gone to Daniel, Robuchon, Per Se and Le Bernardin and of thefour has said that Daniel has been the best meal of his life in NY. Curious to hear what others have to say... I've not been to any of them unfortunately but my tastes are a bit quirky and so I'm heavy into the molecular gastronomy food kick (call it the scientist in me).

WD-50 is super highly recommended by me... especially now that they have Mr. Stupak on board. I've heard good things about Tailor but have yet to eat (or drink... as Joey knows hahaha) there.

Masa has been something that I've aspired for but I don't think I'm ready yet ;)

For the price of the Masa meal I can do the full-on tasting menus at both Alinea and Moto which is something I'm planning on this summer if all goes well. Anyone that goes through Chicago... these are not to be missed. Life changing meals.

... of course in NY there's the Pomme Frites joint on 2nd and St. Marks that beats most of the above restaurants at 1% of the price hehehehe

... and how can one forget about the chicken & rice cart?!

I am very open myself for food. Any place with good food and nice decoration. For drink, a place you can have fun dancing and preferable gay friendly but mixed.

Thanks for your suggestions in advance.
