i've got to get on this!! i love BAM's next wave stuff during the holidays... last year we saw pina bausch's "bamboo blues", her first brush w/ bausch.

and @mamaboy, can't vouch for lartigue personally but heard it was dope from our photo director, who knows that stuff better than i.
i dig the anselm reyle solo show at the gagosian in w chelsea (which also includes one large piece by takashi murakami).

Last week went to see Mew live, a great energetic performance, really like them, then a couple of days later had the chance of know (and have a couple of drinks) a personal hero (below some pics), i'm preparing myself now for Depeche Mode, saw them live in the Devotional tour about 15 years ago...suddenly i'm feeling old

BTW everyone is getting crazy here about LaChapelle and the "thing" (Lepore) which amused everyone showing his/hers fake tits in front of the press, what a bunch of posers...

Gwar is in town tonight, again. They play here at least twice a year and always to a full house. It's really weird. People in Indiana really, really like Gwar.

Thanks, but does it need its own thread? I will move this to What's Going on in Your Town.

I am going to check it out. I missed the last one.

I've got an event in NYC and New Haven coming up soon. The first is a small chamber music concert I've organized, it's free in the lower east side at the hamilton fish library. There will be a piece by me, Elodie Lauten and a great piece by Chen Yi if you like crazy expressionism.
I will be there of course and would love to meet any SZers who come out.

I'm also doing a "performance" at my friends art party at artspace in New Haven, if there are any Yalies on this board, come check it out. My performance is sure to bend your mind.
