I've seen some really great tattoos in this thread so far, congrats to that. What I was wondering - to what extent did you guys take part in the design process of these pieces (especially the abstract/ geometric designs)? And another question - do you think a tattoo has to have a certain personal meaning or is the mere aesthetic of a certain design enough of a reason for you to get it inked?

My skin is still untouched at this point of time, but I have been thinking about getting inked for at least three years now. Does anybody have experience with AKA Berlin? I've particularly fallen in love with Valentin Hirsch's work.
