try to breathe with your lower lungs, it will relax you more and reduce movement in your upper body, which will help the tattoo artist I think

the more relaxed you are the less you'll feel it

Seconded yoga breathing. Just reduce the movement of your chest during exhalation. Or holding your breathe for a good 10seconds upon the time when the needle touch your skin. Survived many sessions with these methods. Good luck!

Anyway, Gonna try my luck to get some ink done in Berlin or London next month. Any recommendations? I've heard good things of Into you and Aka Berlin...

depends on what you are looking for, but yeah, both are generally good. AKA has an outpost in London as well with rotating artists from Berlin, going there next week.

The deed is done...I took some Ativan for the nerves, and some Advil just in case. It hurts like a mofo getting your throat done, and I only touched on that area. The clavical wasn't so pleasant either. All in all, survivable, but most unpleasant. But I didn't puke or pass out!

Those creams don't touch the pain. They're topical and those needles aren't.
I've never had my throat done but my sternum is covered. After awhile don't you just zone out and get numb? I tend to do that?

I have probably 20+ tats and I do the same shit every time. Meal, stiff drink, percocet, enjoy. It's not that bad anyway.

Yesterday I felt kind of stupid squirming like a little girl with a small chest piece, when in fact there was a tiny girl next to me getting her inner thighs and back of legs done and she was just chilling.
