mrbeuys, of course I meant you.
In the meantime, my tattoo healed very well
and I am already thinking about the future composition of the arm. A skyscraper is coming up next on the right fore-arm, maybe this summer.
I’d love to be covered allover already, but I guess the time it needs is part of the process, no? So: patience.

^ This will always be tricky to police because of the clandestine nature of individual tattooers ink formulas. If you are referring too what i think you are haha
Many artists use widely available inks (starbrite, eternal etc) who's manufacturers are more likely to be transparent about their materials. But there are so many very quality inks (Good Color) in which the production is more of a homebrew nature and the ingredients are closely guarded secrets.
The ubiquitous use of Talens for blacks (which denotes specifically "not for use on skin" on the bottle) and the notion that almost every tattooer has their own mixture of grey- a harder color to get into the skin- which usually have any number of parts gin/vodka/lucky rabbits foots in them ensures that you will have no idea whats going into your body. The inks are all on the safe side, safer say than they were 20 years ago of course, but try asking your tattooer their grey recipe and see what they say !
The non-regulation of many areas in the industry is one of the exciting things about it still. Its not in vain to care, but being militant about it would be tough!Last edited by circles; 06-07-2013, 03:48 PM.
