Shingeki no Soma is amazing for the fact that managed to make cooking absolute badass and the amount of thought that goes into it shows.

Props to Yuuto for always giving a tasteful explanation with each meal. I do like where the plot in the manga is going now that it finally has an antagonist.

One Punch Man looks exciting, not sure how long it'll last, but it will do for now.

I haven't watched the anime yet, but the manga has been moving at a very slow pace for a while and there already isn't much content. I'm expecting a lot of filler for the anime.

Attack on Titan is also pretty average and the Manga it is adapted from is drawn rather poorly due to the manga artists health, although the originality and mystery makes it a compelling story, but they will probably never reach that basement.

We'll probably have to wait several more months to find out what's in the basement if the villains don't win, which they probably will because of the Beast Titan's involvement.
Isayama's art has noticeably improved since the beginning.

Shokugeki no soma for the recommendation

Caught up and finished this as it ended. It was hysterical and then I was left with the long forgotten void of waiting for another season. Finished Gate right after, another great anime though the romance towards the end was too light novel, tenchi muyo for me.

Gate is weird because it's like pro Japanese defense force and that's a touchy subject right now because of the new bill, it's speculated the army sponsors gate for good PR or something. Also it ended on a weird note with zero resolution.

Inu Yashiki, Terra Formars, Ajin, Apocalypse no Torride, Boku no Hero Academia, Kingdom, Feng Shen Jii and One Punch Man are fave atm. Shokugeki is really good, it's just too bad mc lacks a nemesis.

huh, he has a ton of rivals, everyone who is in the school is a rival and there are people better than him, in the final arch (of the anime) he wasnt satisfied, and in the "underground" event he wasn't satisfied. and you could say that Aldini is his true rival as someone who has had actual experience in RL.

In case you don't read the manga, you might not want to read this.
Rivals ≠ nemesis. Hell, all the guys you just mentioned can even be considered allies, in some kind of salutary competition. The only character who might become the nemesis is Nakiri's dad (he's pictured that way, grim reaper style), and even him looks more like Yukihira's dad nemesis than mc's nemesis, in my humble opinion.

I'm not familiar with this context, was there some implication that the resistance fighters were something more than just that?

I did like the mystery of Sern, felt very monster / 20th century boys
