Hmm, first synth was special indeed (Korg MS20 in case you are wondering).
Other than that an Absinthe fuelled night with Marilyn Manson at his room at the Mandarin Oriental comes to mind... no, I am not a groupie. It was for work.
Hi. I like your necklace. - It's actually a rape whistle, but the whistle part fell off.

Had an ms10 on loan for a few months. Filter is like a wild animal ;)
Used to be able to pick them up for $200 on ebay before Mr. Oizo became famous again.

Just checked, $2,640 for an ms20 on ebay! Ouch.

Favorite synth is a prophet 5, again had a rev 1 on loan for a while, its got a beautiful tone.

Yeah, I bought my first one for 200 German Mark back in the day and loved it and sold it to buy some FM synthesis shit only to realise that analog was the way to go all along, so I bought another one for 400 German mark (that's about € 200) and just got it serviced a fe months ago and it's amazing. Might give it to my kids, my daughter loves playing with it,
Going terribly off topic, I am sorry, but synths are integral to my life...

            OK, another good moment:
Playing Ancienne Belgique. Last date of the tour, incredibly drunk and scared at the same time...

I could talk about synths all day no problem :)

Definitely keep the ms20, love the sound of the filter when it in self oscillation, nothing else sounds like it. Also the audio in with the envelope follower is very useful. Got rid of alot of bits and pieces over the years as I moved over to a full software setup and regret letting alot of it go. Not so much that I'd use it in music, but more just for the fun of switching on an analog synth as noodling about for a few hours. Hard to get that with software.

Someday I'll buy a Roland TB-303. Then I finally can say goodbye to the world.

I have always considered the TB to be overrated.
At least 1K$ just to get some acid sounds...

Yeah, you can get a 303 sound out of loads of things these days, so there is no real need to get one if making music is your goal.
But as a collectors item and antique of the future they are definitely nice to have.

Well for me synths are to be played with.
                            I couldn't buy a synth just because it's a collectors item...

And for the price of a real TB you could buy a kick-ass synth instead.
