Autolux and Silversun Pickups, two very good pop-noisy bands from L.A., exactly the kind of music i wanted to listen to these times. Silversun pickups is kinda picking up in the Smashing pumpkins material, but they make good music outta it.

Anyone recommed some music to me? Making me a sort-of punk, rock album - the likes of The Birthday Party, HTRK, Bailterspace, The Gordons, Swans, Hair and Skin Trading Company, etc. Bands like that. I'm running out of ideas.

Also, after doing some reading here, I wonder too-
Is XX cool or uncool? I feel a littly guilty listening to them for some reason. (I will admit I only listen to one track, but still)

I believe their music is quite good.
But then i don't listen to pop/rock much since i'm much more into electronic stuff...

I think guilty is the wrong word. Maybe the word I am looking for is corny.

I think their age has a lot to do with it, the vocals aren't that great- and not in a "they aren't great but that's what makes it great" sort of way...
plus, i don't watch mtv, but i am assuming they aren't on there. if they were, i would hate myself for listening to this, because i can surely see this being on mtv and millions of kids seeing a long to it and loving it.

maybe that's why i tell people i listen to painjerk and guilty connector.

also, i must say that I am GUILTY of sometimes having music that i don't really love just because i know that my friends would like the music, you know if they come over to have a beer or hang out. not that i'm saying i listen to XX with my friends while drinking beers. oh god, i think i know my answer now, i need to change my life, now

Haha my friends also don't like what i listen to. Believe it's too underground and too weird for them...They just listen to David Guetta and that kind of s**t you here on the radio all the time.
Not that there is anything wrong with it i just find it annoying when people follow the masses and criticize those who don't.
Concerning the XX, i am just a bit younger than they are ^^
