I'm not sure if Kira was alluding to this or not, but The Road is being made into a feature being directed by John Hillcoat, who directed the film Nick Cave wrote, the Proposition.

I myself am reading Naked Lunch which ties in well with all the Deluze I have just finished reading in preparation for a paper I had to write.

No, I am not working on the feature. Frieze films, part of the Frieze Foundation and art fair, is working on a Youtube based project, using The Road as the jumping point for content.

Also, damn, Stendhal's "the Red and the Black" was good. Like "Crime and Punishment", it's a classic that nearly anyone ought to be able to read and enjoy.

Am currently reading Ian Fleming's complete anthology on James Bond short stories. Just finished 'Quantum of Solace,' it was a brief but interesting read even though it wasn't really about Bond. It provided an interesting parallel/reflection into Bond's inner world however, I actually wouldn't mind seeing a Bond film that showed more of his psychology.
