What do you think of the gap in the sole between the heel and the rest of the pressed leather sole.Looking at them at Alans I was concerned the single leather piece could be, ..well fragile. What do you think?

Yes,that is what I was talking about.Thank you AKA.Pnod you are lucky to have the kool aid red boots without that "gap" feature.
It left me reluctant to buy the boots.

you saw the high tornado boots with that feature? I have only seen it on regular side zips and some derbys...

yeah, i totally forgot about that detail...i think i got a slightly altered/revised last, shape, and leather. maybe he worked some of the kinks out, who knows?

addict--mine are regular side zips, and the "red" boots to my knowledge were only available in classic side zip 08 version, and tall no seam side zip. have not seen tornado with the bridge either

I saw that feature on the new boots Alan Bilzerian had in both red and black.This was approx. 2 months ago and were new in the store at the time.They had a straight side zipper,I do not think they were tornadoes.
