I've had two pair. one from two years ago, where the quality was excellent but the footbed felt like there was a lump under the instep even with insoles and i tried two different versions of the higher wedge this season and they were too high which for me is virtually unheard of since i am a fan of tall platforms.

its a case of i want to love them because of the design but just cant wear the darn things because of the structure.

Want to get my girlfriend a pair of this seasons leather wedges for christmas. What is the quality like? Have heard about heals braking....

they're so many on sale everywhere right now why not give them a try and see how she feels about them. i think quality-wise its a safe bet.

Has anyone read about rick's process? How he designs, does he just drape stuff on models, how does he work in his influences, etc etc.
There are a lot of articles on the man, and on his thought process, even his workout routine but I have only ever read about his creative process in relation to his furniture. Just crossed my mind today and made me curious.

I believe I mention that he drapes on the mannequin, but I could be wrong. Is it a shame that I don't reread my own articles?

He is less comfortable with tailoring - for menswear he works with a tailor. He also spends a lot of time in Italy at O&M, so seems like he is pretty hands on with production.

i'm liking the new drapey leather that's up at lvr. shades of the various yurius ss cowls, but perhaps a little more refined.

what type of lamb is this? the guy who sold the one in the flickr account says washed lamb, but feels like blistered lamb to me?

yes, could be silky lamb. can you give a more in depth description of silky lamb? i am really not too knowledgable about RO's variations of each material, i only know calf, lamb, sheep, ram, etc, but not the actual variations, so how does the silky lamb age is kind of what i am asking?

LNB = blistered leather on neoprene

so, same question, but replace silky lambskin with washed lambskin LOL
