Might be an easy fix...you should check with your cobbler.Last edited by awlouie; 09-20-2010, 07:02 PM."Fashions fade, style is eternal." —Yves Saint Laurent

Did you get a rubber layer added on to the heel prior to wearing?
Cobbler might have pulled the nails out in the process, which could have compromised the integrity of the heel.
I make it a point to have him sand the heel and hammer the nails further instead of pulling them out
Regardless there is no point in contacting Augusta , Like awlouie said simple fix.

Same thing happened to both my pairs of Augusta's (and other shoes I have had in the past). Heal started separating from the sole. Just a tiny bit and not a big deal, you can glue it or better yet have another nail put in. Just a side note, its not so easy to, "find a good cobbler" anymore; So things that should be simple to fix are often not.

This looks amazing, linen over horse leather (from HLorenzo's blog)
HLorenzo's preview (not sure if anybody's posted this)

On a personal note, I did sell mine because I wanted a pure leather boot and found the linen quiet uninspiringyou can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter...

Funny, this is one designer thread where the shopping talk is fine, cause there isn't much room for the esthetic/philosophical talk.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
