Just give in Faust... these are a wear everyday sort of jacket... you will get your money's worth outta it.

which is largely the reason I am drawn to (some of) his work. I absolutely love the jackets and see some of the shirts and scarves I rather like. dont particularly love his shoes and pants though.

but not to stray from the point, I dislike Clothing that is too high maintenance and forces you to have to consciously be careful when wearing them...............

Tyro - I've never seen PH marked down anywhere. I've even been in places recently and handled stuff from seasons 2yrs ago and its still full price....

Looking forward to the new collection. Will have to get one of the heavier wool jackets this time, despite heading in to summer. Does previous season Harnden ever get marked down at IF?

i don't like them in general.

Normally I don't prefer peaked lapels either, they just look too sharp, too formal for everyday wear.

However I find that in the case of PH, especially his thicker jackets, the peaked lapels work really well, and I prefer them over notched or shirt collar. The combination of the bluntness of the peak, the slight curvature of the lapel leading to the peak, and the thick woolly materials round off the sharpness and give it a more informal look yet still interesting to look at.

Couldn't have articulated my same sentiments any better. The peaked lapels in the PH-vein cut/treatment/fabric takes on a very different appeal compared to those in straight-laced formal blazers.
