im on the fence myself. im a fan of designers keeping around a good thing. like NN jeans, RO shirts/tanks, designers need signature items that are unqiuely their own statement. But reproducing your whole entire line, thats kinda weak, unless thats your thing (ie carpe, which defintely is not weak). So i kinda flip flop myself on julius' direction. I know i am tired of the drappy shirts though.

BTW am i the only one that thinks NN should just become a jeans company....

the last collection would suggest as much.

and ITE (in this economy) i will just buy a few pieces if i can by designers where at least i can trust the quality, doma failed.

Regarding Damir Doma quality, it's probably to do with collections being rushed. I was talking to one of the owners of B-store London, he said they cancelled a chunk of their order this coming season since Damir Doma is absolutely terrible at delivering on time. However, he is more than happy to do one offs and particular orders, a top in a sold out size for example, and apparently able to deliver reliably on those orders. Maybe that would be more your thing pnod?

On topic - I believe the Library is planning to get some Julius this season, the Julius site certainly identifies them as a point of sale. Again, I'm a lurker so this might be old news, apologies etc. if so.

I agree, Peter said it awhile ago, might have been an economic recession, "Oh shit what is Atelier selling" reaction. Still, the Library gets an odd mix of kids, and they can always flog it to the footballers if no one else.

Very true. I saw Jamie Redknapp wearing CCP in Hello or OK or seomthing a couple of weeks ago. I also saw a picture recently of Vernon Kaye wearing a white CCP overlock. Our US friends can Google these guys, but I warn you, Vernon makes John Mayer look like one of klangspeil's style inspirationz......
