Chim.. in my past experience.. Rick's leather jacket is notoriously know for holes torn in the jacket. I have three leather jacket.. and all had problems of the holes.. I got one from Luisaviaroma...and also had holes in it... so I think it is not just the matches damaged goods but rather also in general.. Rick's sewing has been an issue for me and many people also.

I've only had quality issues with rick's uber soft leather, the stiff
leather is thumbs up. That said, I'll probably never buy another RO
leather unless it's on steep discount. Been burned too many times due
to sizing issues by the man.

Indeed - I've fit into everything from M to XL! My only quality issue with RO is that one of the snaps on my winter jacket got torn out of the fabric :-(. You can't see unless you look closely, but I still should fix it. My super-soft leather jacket from one of the first seasons has been holding up splendidly though, and I haven't seen rick match that jacket yet in either complexity nor quality. [64]

Since we're discussing Rick here, does anyone have anything to report about the RO cut and sew items? I own a few of them and have not had any problems, whether with the drkshdw cottons, nor the knits and jackets. But I'm curious to know if anyone else has had any experiences that were less than stellar. The leathers get so much flack that I already know they're not to be trsuted (despite still being gorgeous), but I think Rick has emerged as one of my favorite designers now, a firly recent conversion brought on mostly by his women's collections (I'd wear his women's Expolder stuff if I could).

I was in Matches this summer and asked if they had any RO tees. They said they didn't do them any more because they were fed up with people coming back with them falling apart.But the leathers were fine they said.......
