Only if you pair it with an XL white shirt with "Aaliya RIP" airbrushed on it.

Seriously though, I know coming from MMM this is supposed to be *wink wink* ugly, but sometimes things are just plain ugly. Irony is like SOOO last year.

            Re: Yes or No?

I don't think they're ironically ugly, just naive (which I like, plus, wolves are awesome).

I like these sneakers for the same reason I liked that leather/nylon patchwork windbreaker that Margiela came out with last year (that I wish I had bought, but didn't, because I knew I'd never wear it). I might actually wear the sneakers. They're $545, though, which I don't know if I can stomach.

I've been looking for a light weight trench myself and I noticed the sizing on the Julius coat runs big.

Thinking about picking up this Lad Musician trench, but in black:

Have you tried on the Geller trench? They actually run a bit big -- the 44 may still be a bit roomy on you.

edit: Having seen it in person, I can safely say the Lad Musician trench is amazing. It is my top pick for a trench right now.

thanks for the advice croatoan. was the one you saw the standard cotton or waxed cotton version? leaning towards the waxed cotton atm but not sure yet

                        Re: Yes or No?

I actually didn't know there was a waxed one. The one I saw was just a nice gabardine. Lad Musician is always doing similar cuts in so many different fabrics, it gets confusing.

Just in a 46 (which is the wrong size to begin with). I liked the
design and was hoping the 44 would fit. I have been considering a LM trench for a while as well but having little experience with the brand never took the plunge.

I think it is waxed, translation of the description mentions that it is waterproof. from the pics and size charts they are the exact same cut though.

                              Re: Yes or No?

trying to figure out if there is any difference between the two trenchcoats other than the obvious sheen of the waterproof version. is there a difference in the density/weave of the cotton used? not sure what the 80/2 and 30/- designations of the gabardine means.

                                Re: Yes or No?

I think the 30/- one may appear more like a standard gabardine or twill while the 80/2 is a little lighter weight spring/summer jacket. The 30/- came with one of the first shipments from the collection (early January) while the other was a couple months later, which should kind of show when it was intended to be worn.

You should be right about the numbers relating to the density/weave -- the 30/- one has the weave going only diagonally and looks not as compact while 80/2 is both ways. I am not too well versed with the technical terms so I won't be of too much help in that respect. Lad Musician is very precise with their fabric selections and explain it very technically. I can understand/figure most Japanese descriptions but a lot of the technical stuff reads as nonsense to me. Haha
