are u serious? the real deal by far, the new ones aren't even warm. I have an 07 one and i got ss13 drkshdw and just opening the box i knew which one was leaving asap. the difference is worse than 09crust leather vs current rick leathers. those new drkshdw parka's feel like Gap parka's. And they aren't warm to boot.

im glad I got rid of that parka, I had to layer like a motherfugga, but I miss it cuz of how cool it looked. Unfortunately coming by a 07 one is hard.

I think gift is a matter of personal opinion, you know the recipient the best, and you should know whether it will look good on her, or whether its to her liking or not.
Personally, I prefer normal sweater rather than sleeveless sweater.

We'll assume not, so the question of whether the top would be a smart gift choice is a lukewarm maybe. Here's why:

Sleeveless turtleneck sweaters are a bit of a contradiction. They end up being too warm to wear in warmer months, and not warm enough when it's cold. And most females don't want to put bare arms straight into a coat. It still feels cold. It's a girl thing. We're always chillier than you guys.

It wouldn't be my first choice for practicality reasons, but only you know her aesthetic. And if you're trying to steer her toward a slightly 'darker' one, nothing is nicer than taking her shopping in a place that you like, and letting her pick something out.

It becomes a shared experience, not just something you gave her in a box.

swaying a significant others tastes is a slippery slope my man. i attempted this harrowing feat 2 years ago. i bought my significant other a beautiful rather large alexander mcqueen ring that i was smitten over. i dont know if it actually fit into her aesthetic or i was trying to shove a round peg in a square hole but she never wore it. after we split she said "it was so big! i hated it!" needless to say her multitude of bestsey johnson crapery were daily staples but thats another story all together. tread lightly!

Seconded. The '07 for sure. Although if you can't find one, I still like the new ones.
