anybody have experience with the Porter Element 3 way bag in leather? How comfortable is it for a daily bag? Thinking of getting this or a tanker for a daily work and travel bag, but I like the leather.

I've used a Porter tanker briefcase in the standard nylon as a work bag for the past... wow, 7-8 years now? There's definitely a reason it's their signature material. Incredibly light and durable, if you're walking or taking a train to work I'd highly recommend it over a heavier leather bag. Porter leather quality has always been good but not great.

The only thing I see that really matches his aesthetic is the creeper sole. I know that he has done some cleaner pieces in the recent past and some of the tailored pieces I can get behind....but these seem pretty goofy. I do need a pair of nicer / casual classic shoes so I was thinking these could do. What do you guys think?

I've been known to dress like an old man from time to time so maybe it's my inner retiree that is drawn to them. Maybe it's my up bringing in Hawaii and the amount of asian's rocking shit like this on daily that has muddled my sensibilities. It's more likely that I just have bad / goofy taste. I can definitely laugh at the prospect of attempting to put together an outfit with these. Shit, I might even be able to pull it off. If they were free I would definitely give it a go
