i think she means where they're gonna ship frm, since if its coming from eu there might be extra tax imposed.. they're affiliated with yoox and when i ordered my limi dress from them they had it housed in the warehouse in eu but, they shipped it from there to the warehouse here, before shipping it to me so i didn't get charged any extra $--if i followed myoox correctly

Wondering whether someone might be able to explain to me the varying sole construction methods and toe box shoes used for Carpe Diem's? Was it a seasonal thing, or did Maurizio produce different versions during the same year?

I just got my first pair of Carpe's and have noticed some differences in the way the sole has been constructed. Eg, the ones below, where the sole is stitched-down with the stitch visible from the top of the shoe.



Others have no stitch visible from the top, like mine below (sorry, not the best pic but you get the idea).



I've also seen some differences like these:





Any insight anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.

From what I can gather, Carpe Diem's use Blake-Rapid construction. This is not really surprising, as Blake construction is a staple for Italian shoe manufacturers. My S40s have the stitching running inside the shoe, although it does not go all the way through to the outsole (Blake-Rapid construction). Is the difference then just that some cdiems have the outsole nailed to the midsole rather than stitched? If so, was there any particular reason for this?
