any sock recommendations? i never hear much about socks

RO makes seasonal socks but they are hard to get, almost no one stocks it. There are a lot of socks from CdG, some socks from Yohji, there were socks by 11byBBS and some woman socks by Ann Demeulemeester. Besides these, I don't remember any.

I've had good luck with walmart. Target if I'm feeling fancy.

I'm going to lose them anyway so I just buy cheap socks. I don't really wear shorts either so who cares what they look like?

if you want quality socks, get something like Falke. If you want designer novelty/collectable items, buy designer socks, but I doubt they will be significantly different from any generic socks.

I have a pair of yohji socks and they pile quite easily, and a pair of BBS 11 socks which seem like standard athletic socks with a logo. Both are "cool" but not really worth it if you're looking for longetivity or exceptional quality.

Oh and I got a pair of black and grey missoni socks as a gift, they actually seem to hold up very well and are very neatly knit, but I imagine the price is ridicilous for a pair of socks, just like the other designer socks.

Even if you don't care about designer this or that you can get vastly improved socks for an extremely small premium. I really like balston and smart wool for some good and thick socks, they feel wonderful and are not exorbitant.

I've been contemplating some leggings. Got Rick big shorts and don't wanna have to wait till summer to wear them. I swore I'd never give in to the shorts n' leggings look but I just may do it...

That's not really what I meant. I'm just saying the cheapos are good enough for me. I have a couple pairs of smartwools and they're nice for when it's cold. But beyond that I don't really care.

I've been wearing the Patagonia capilene 3 for the past 2-3 months with this winter we're having in Boston and would recommend them. I haven't tried any merino wool long underwear though.

I had the perfect Ann wool leggings I sold last year cuz I decided leggings look silly, wish I had them now they retailed for a ridiculous $1000 but I got em at a sample sale, so I'll never have something like that again.

Alpaca wool socks are great for me. I wear them when i am feeling fancy, other than that i dont really care, my work and and hobbies wear the socks out so fast that cheaper ones work well.
