This is my dream watch, but my current watch (in a more reasonable price bracket) is an Oris - gorgeous watches - great for slim wrists.

The original IWC B-uhr was a massive 55mm!

I think 47-48mm is the absolute max without looking ridiculous

^ I tried on the JLC tourbillon the other day. It's a relative "deal" for a tourbillon at around $60,000

^ How long have you owned that watch for? From your experience, is it true that ceramic really does not scratch AT ALL? My watch is PVD coated (the one posted above) so I am extremely careful with it as I am very worried of getting scratches...

I've had the watch for around 8 months now and it is very hard wearing and durable. It doesn't have a single mark on it whereas my stainless PAM has dings and hairlines.

I own / have owned some PVD pieces that I have to be more careful with. A PVD watch with a ding or scuff looks terrible IMO

Ceramic (zirconium oxide) which is what the 292 is milled from is harder than steel and is basically invincible to scratches.

I have seen a video of someone keying a Hublot big bang ceramic bezel and it just wipes out.

A few bits on the watch including the crown and buckle are PVD coated so you have to be a bit more careful with those pieces

However you have to be careful never to drop it as the case can chip or shatter with enough force.

I am told that DLC version of PVD is harder to mark that some standard PVD finishes.

I highly recommend the 292 if you are considering it. The only complaint I have is the Radiomir strap change system sucks compared to the Luminor/1950 screw or quick-release system

                  ^

The Pro-Hunter DSSD looks nice. I have considered a black DSSD or standard ss as I like the size/heft of the case.

The big problem I have with the DSSD is that the bracelet tapers far too aggressively

I do love the look on nato and 4-ring zulus

I've never understood the world's obsession with Rolex - anyone care to explain it?

They are a universally accepted means of DHV-ing. They also look nice.

knocking the price point back a couple digits, i like this for being simple, inexpensive, and gets compliments (i have the grey one):

(the band is rubber, so sue me. doesn't bother my skin none.)

Here's another PVD watch I'm considering

Just want some opinions: which watch do you prefer between this watch and the Prohunter Deepsea Seadweller (picture on p13), and why?

PAM always. It is the sexiest watch to me.
