^nice! and the B&R all-black offerings are also really great. Doesn't Adam have one? Pricing is not too outrageous with a cursory ebay search it seems.

I've always been a big fan of a simple, classic Rolex. A classic Panerai is also very tempting. In the near future I plan on getting either one of these and just installing it on a long strap of black leather so it can be wrapped around the wrist and partially hidden amongst bracelet(s) etc.

I had/have the same problem. Having small wrists eliminates a lot of watches as it just looks silly.
I would love to get a Milgauss with the green glass one day though, beautiful stuff.

I definitely agree re: fakes. I think there were earlier posts on here for watch forums that are pretty reliable and the pricing can be really great.

You know, there is something about the Panerai that I still like even though it's a chunky thing. In the end, I'd probably still settle on a stainless steel or PVD'd black rolex. Classic is still classic :)

Nixon gets a whole lot of hate from collectors, they're really just fashion accessories with bad movements, but this has been my go-to for a number of years, a blacked out 42-20. Great size for small wrists

New obsession

Bell&Ross doesn't make its own movement. They buy a movement you can buy yourself for about $300. Dropping thousands on a watch that has a cool case and aggressive marketing seems silly when for that price (4K+) a real watch can be bought. B&R doesn't make watches. They make cases.

Every watch snob knows this. B&R won't do well in the secondary market if you consider a watch purchase an investment. Watch collectors don't even consider B&R to be a watch maker.

Cool looking watch but impossible to take seriously since the movement is bought off the shelf.

never understood the movement obsession. the time shows the same on a timex or panerai. they are just acceptable men's jewelry that happen to tell time
