    wowwww, nice!

When's the Barneys sale supposed to kick off? I hope I don't have to go to Berlin before it starts!

People in Toronto, TNT's winter sale got booted up to 70% off.

Some Cloak and Margiela left in large sizes and fair bit of Comme des Garcons outerwear/blazers left.

            RE:Opening Ceremony Sale

To go or not to go -- that is the question,
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
Uncertanties of sample sales and people
That crowd with greedy eyes the aisles
Or face the pangs of 'ncertainty. To buy, to skip?
No more - and by a skip to say we end
The heartache, and the thousand natural shocks
That dissapointment in sales is heir to. To skip, to sleep -
To rest - perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub,
For in that inaction's rest what dreams may come
When we haven't seen the stock with our own eyes?
This gives us pause. There's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the scorns of crowds,
The crowded subways, the fifth floor walk-ups,
CASH ONLY signs, the dissapointment and shock
            Debasement of experience and pride,
            That Cloaks our shopping ways,
The insolence of stockboys, and the spurns
That patient merit of th' unworthy takes,
When he himself can gather all his strength
With bare wallet? Who would sales bear,
To grunt and sweat over remains of styles,
But that the dread of missing bargain great,
The joy of scoring, from whose sense
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than skip the sample sales we know of?
Thus conscience does make consumers of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Not to go, is sicklied o'ver with a thought,
And enterprise of resolution not to go
Fades inexorably into distant shores of mind
And loses pride and sanctions grief -- Soft you now,
The fair Hussein's creations - My nymphs, in thy orisons
            Be all my scores remembered.

                Re: F/W 06 Sales

Very nice faust...here's what I found from a friend of mine who went there this morning. There's a line that starts on the 2nd flight of stairs just to get in. I asked her if there was Cloak stuff, she said none. I think it's only a trick to hype up the sale or maybe there was indeed a piece or two..just for the sake. She said it wasn't really that great of a sale.

That's what I figured. That store's stock (let alone overstock) does not warrant the trip. I've never found anything except Cloak there for myself.

Faust, that is magnificent. Excellent use of Hamlet. [8-|]

                    Yah, it was not great.

I got a Cloak bag though.

We got there before the line was too long, but the whole situation was ridiculous. There was tons of Herchcovitch, whom I generally like, but it looked really crappy to me. No Cloak at all, except for the bag, which was hidden in the women's section.
                          And no Chalayan. [8o|]

Shopjake.com has again lowered thier prices for some fall/winter items. You can still find some Cloak pieces including the leather biker jacket-$540!, leather barn coat-$900!, parka-$520, and a few sweaters and trousers.

Kinda pissed that the cardigan I ordered Friday just went down by $90!!! :(
