Jun, rice, and mia... great buys. Mia or Faust, do you guys know where to get Velvet man online? I remember someone posting a link a while ago, but the search function didn't bring anything up.

This is my most recent purchase from Boston (Stel's): Nom de Guerre Dry Grey jeans. I'm going to leave the denim porn to superfuture's denim board unless you guys want more pictures. I can't say enough praise about the fit of these. I've tried on NDG jeans in the past and were disappointed in the fit, but these are on point.

Got this coat. It's one of my best ever bargain buys. Down to £300 from £1300. Now if the cold winter would finally kick in I could get some wear out of it...

                nice pickups!

more crossposting - a few more things from the trip:

thai designer waxed cotton/leather side zip "converses" with leather laces

thai designer tuxedo shirt with skeleton screen, stiched heart with ohm sign, mother of pearl buttons. a bit gimmicky but i like it anyway..

thai designer light shirt (rick owens-esque) with hand stitched details

thai sawasdee velcro fisherman pants with lining

                925 silver studs bracelet.

                [/quote]

Those high tops are one of the most beautiful pairs of shoes I have ever seen. The inside lining is phenomenal.

The skeleton print is very interesting too.

                    Re: Your recent purchases

I was in NYC recently and I got myself two carpe diem/ L'maltieri
sweaters that were works from 2004 and 2005 I think. I also got a black
tailored balenciaga blazer, a gucci military shirt (yes yes, I know you
all dislike that kind of stuff) and two dior homme jeans. My raw demin
stretched too much (lousy planning) so I got a new one sized down. Oh
yeah, I also got myself the apc new cure since I know dior's wont age
nearly as well as apc's. I tried on the new rick owens leather jacket
for spring yesterday that A. received literally 15mins before I got
there, and it was stunning. I saw the one that Jun and Albert got, and
this season's is super soft, super fitted, and super light. Great
jacket. I wanted to get it along w/ the sweaters but my new card was
past its daily limit! So right now, I'm contemplating whether I should
get it, and then get the ccp fencing jacket, but I think I'll only go
with the latter. I suspect that ccp's leather will be just as soft, and
the fit just as good... I just cant wait for A. to get the jacket
                    already!

I was also in Boston a couple of days earlier and I was
disappointed with the stocks at louis boston and A.B. A.B. had this
really really splendid Yohji military style peacoat on sale, but it was
                    unfortunately a size too big.

I'm in D.C. right now before
I'll head out overseas, so can anyone let me know if anyone carries
cpp, cdiem, owens, and the likes over here?

Rajiv, I like the second hoodie - one of the problems I have with hoodies is that they keep your neck open = not functional. This one is realy cool though - I like the concept.

                          You were in Boston? Nice!

The thing about AB is that your casual browser won't even get an idea of what they really have in stock. They keep soooo much in those drawers and downstairs that you would be really surprised. The key thing to keep in mind when going there is to ask. Like a brand? Ask! They still have Rick Owens stuff, but they only have DRKSHDW jeans out. The gotta pull the tees from the drawers. They have Carpe shirts... but they're in the drawers, they have all kinds of shit tucked away.

Don't be afraid to ask for help there. They guys are real cool and most importantly don't work off of commission. Thus, if they're showing you something or digging something up, it's because they really think it's down your alley. The SA John is probably one of the nicest SA's I've ever met and truly loves dressing people and finding things in your style.

If I had to choose between the RO and the CCP leather, I'd get the CCP :)

Love to see some photos of the carpe sweaters!!

                            Re: Your recent purchases

In keeping with the thread, I received my LMaltieri deep purple/black work coat in the mail today. Mixed feelings about it. Most annoying aspect is the fact that the original owner CUT THE BUTTON LOOPS OFF OF THE COAT!

                            What the fuck.

Very very annoying. Now I gotta fix it.

The coat itself is beautiful though so once it's able to close, it'll be one nice piece for cold weather if it ever decides to show up haha.

As posted in the sales thread, I also picked up:

                            - CCP overlock stiff trousers in a tweed type pattern (but not textured... really friggin awesome)

                            - Linea black long sleeved tee (oh the stitchwork! So awesome!)

                            - Carpe Diem black/white/gray textured knit neck warmer

CCP twist jeans from Coldrice should be waiting for me at home today. probably the most excited to receive those!
