yeah i just tought about the nylon one theyre pretty cool too but the pants wont fit me i saw the grey tags too but theyre usually from 2000 or even some from 1999 but were talking about a pair of pants from 1996 ...and theyre is no tags ! would have to see another piece from 1996 hehehe

thanks guys. the pair that I picked up from Assin are a size 40 (they run 1-2 sizes large) in the black wax coated/distressed leather. they also had a size 39 in store and possibly smaller. I'll post actual pics of the boots when I have my digital camera back.

I'm surprised that more people from overseas haven't been clearing out Assin, EM and LEFT. the low value of the pacific peso actually makes the retails prices here a bargain

the boots retail at assin for $1360 AUD but they sold it to me for $1300 AUD, not sure if it was because I was a repeat customer or because the Sydney store didn't send them in the box and they had to replace it with a box from another pair of Ann D shoes.

I tuck my pants into the boots but that's because most of my pants are rather slim. zekka in perth has them in brown and assin in melbourne/sydney has the black.

Indeed the toebox is quite large: makes them comfy to wear (IMO they fit true to size, I tried on 39, impossible to make my foot enter), but I tried them with suit pants, and they created an awkward rather clownesque silhouette...on the contrary, with pants tucked, they're great.

Great boots by the way! I wish my gilfriend like this type of heels someday.... She likes high & thick heels. Imagine that kind of heels in russian winter.... She can't go faster then 1 km/h because of the snow and ice ))) Looks funny )))
