The boots pictured below are supposed to be by Raf from the current season (AW0607). I like them but I'm a little bit suspicious about their authenticity. Firstly I haven't seen these or any other non-velcro Raf sneakers in any shops or runway pics. Secondly the seller stole most of the text in his listing from the Raf Simons boots that Faust linked to above (which were already listed before Christmas and didn't sell at a higher starting price). Does anyone recognise the sneakers?
Here's another of the sellers pics, on a Raf Simons box this time. You're pretty sure about Neil Barrett? Doesn't surprise me as the shoes don't really look that Raf-ish. Do you remember which season they were?
I'm pretty confident they are... I've seen the high-top version on yoox a bit ago, and the low-top in person (can't recall where, perhaps Barney's a year or so ago). It's a fall-winter shoe, for sure. Last season would be my guess. Anyway, the shoes I have seen and this one we arediscussingallhave an identical sole and bodystructure/details,the exact same pebble-yleather treatment, same fuzzy lining and, possibly most notable, the shinierleather toe top. If they aren't Neil Barrett, I would be pretty surprised. Are these used? IIRC the appearance of Neil Barrett's name wasonly onthe inside footbed of the shoe and is likely worn off if indeed used. Of course, nothing is certain, but such a direct lifting of design would be pretty lame of Raf. [:P]
They still have some of the non-lined sneaks on Yoox, FWIW. Large sizes, though.
The first pair of boots I posted didn't have laces though. I guess they were never produced. I still wanted to get the buckle one, but no store in Japan ordered them over 43.

Beats me, I've never seen that version. The picture is from a Japanese store blog. You are in LA, right? Send the picture to Gimme Shoes in San Fran, they have a very good relationship with F+B.

Those are called Jules. I have two pairs - one in a washed black that actually looks olive, and another in a washed reddish brown - my first ever NDCs from 2004. Rafe used to sell those three years ago at his store in Noho - they sold so badly because no one knew who NDC were at the time, and neither was Rafe known for men's shoes. He might even still have them in stock in the aforementioned colors...!
Here's an old pic of them in the washed black (you can tell it was 2004 ago by the wide leg pants and the Cloak sweater[;)]!)
