Eye : there's a detail that the pic doesn't capture and which helps breaking this feeling of sharpness : the wide, irregular stitches running on the front of the jacket to maintain the chain on the inner part. It really ruins it all - in the best of ways, that is. You definitely can't wear this one as your regular sharp / tailored jacket, or you'll make people question the sense of this obviously approximative threadwork. That's what I like about it : it makes an otherwise very predictable piece ask for another context. I believe that's where the fun lies with CDG.

And no worries, the collar is far from being constrictive : it's just the angle, as for the length problem.

@Mail-Moth Glad it worked out. You certainly do much more justice to the jacket compared to me.

Indeed, the jacket really is different than most. As MM mentioned already, the stitching through the front reveals a greater detail beneath the jacket; the chains. Other irregular details include a slim cut through the body, but a loose/big armhole. Had MM taken a side view shot, it would have displayed another silhouette

Also, the material may be 100% wool, but it is extremely lightweight, and comfortable; perfect for a SS piece.

With that said, the real beauty of the jacket can only be witnessed in movement, and perhaps in person. The movement of the body (or even with the help of a gush of wind) can subtly reveal the chains beneath the jacket, which may rouse the curiosity of most people.

Indeed, the jacket is definitely not a formal piece, but for everything other occasion, it can effectively be a go-to-piece.
