It works very well with denim, that I can tell. I still have to try it with a blue shirt - navy will probably be too dark though. I'll try some other things in the following weeks - even if it appears to be more a fall than a winter piece.

      mail-moth,

this is a great fit. somehow i am unable to combine a jacket & pants with a coarse weave like this - very nice.

^ Thanks ! But why should that be a problem ? As long as both jacket and pants show enough weight and texture, there shouldn't be any IMO.

True. I think the problem I have had it that the fabrics of the pants/jackets I have tried have been to close - or maybe that one has a pattern that doesn't quite work with the other. Also, I think that you're looks like this work because there is a greater contrast in color between the jacket and the pants. I'll try something and post - for once.

Especially liked the first one of your last set of three M-M, but this last one is also pretty amazing to me with regards to silhouette and colors for this jacket. Very well done.

Thanks for all the comments guys. m_k, yes all yohji except the laceups. yoko, you're too kind but thanks a lot! Much appreciated.

Mike - great pants, what are they?

M-M, although I prefer you in big pants, that combination works quite well

friday night it was actually warm enough to not have to wear a jacket (summer doesn't start until october in sf )

and thursday night, i wore this with the same pants and boots (apologies for the stringy hair...had just gotten out of the shower). i've been a bit undecided as to whether to keep this jacket because it's ever so slightly too small...what do you guys think? on the other hand i'd probably feel really guilty if I sold such a good piece...it's probably my favorite iteration of the fall 2002 twisted jackets and i love the rounded collar there's a pocket down there in the front too but you can't really see it because of the lighting...will try to take a better picture at some point.
