Faust, I agree about the usage of the word "eclectic", and I see where you're heading with the idea of the "core" as a root of the coherence of one's style, but I think sometimes that core isn't easily identifiable, or it isn't necessarily rooted in one type of style. What I'm trying to say is, there may be a red line connecting different styles that may vary, say, depending on one's mood, and that red line could be that core, though not everyone might be able to notice it. I'm not talking about the above mentioned celebrities, but more in general.

i would say this concept of a core is more like an ideal, something that we are always trying to get closer to (well, one would hope...)

as we mature in our tastes, that red line gets shorter and shorter...if that makes sense...

Merz, this fit is superb - I love the organic way the top drapes, creating folds and ripples which are reflected in the twists of the trousers and the creases of the Guidis - not only that, but there is a lovely balance and interplay between the textures, with the contrasting wool, cotton and leather pieces, the sheen of the bag and Guidis against the trousers, and the counterpoint provided by the gloves... Simply fantastic.

i have really been appreciate zamb in zamb! it's always nice to see a designer as a representation of his aesthetic rather than being far toned down from their vision as a good portion of designers tend to be. great work!
