thanks for the input guys, appreciate it! I find the wool gab hakama's to be a little more challenging to wear than the cotton one so I thought I might give them a try.. May be I need to switch the top to something more loose so it'll hide my small body structure better.

Vans are okay imo. I don't quiet understand the comment of Vans not adding anything.....Perhaps a pair of killer derbies will be better here but nothing else will make much of a difference..... In fact these vans aren't much different from the canvas sneakers that YY and Y's used to offer.

Shuit that's an awesome fit, though a bit too feminine for my taste. wearing a looser top like the classic YY long jacket will definitely help.

Before getting vans- I actually have the idea of buying a simple martial art/kungfu sandals in mind:



but then the sole is too thin for my liking since I walk quite a lot on a daily routine so I decided to go with vans instead.

i often wear black vans (and the cdg version) as well as those chinese slippers, with wider cropped pants or with shorts. it's a nice change from all my other chunky footwear.

vans the brand have just became a staple for turkish wiggers and every donkey inbetween. not that y-3 is much different but even the original surf/sk8 reference is going to throw some ppl off when paired with extreme ann and yohji. im a fan of the 2 dollar chinatown slippers aswell!
