also, please tell me you didn't actually buy anything from kokko at their prices
I actually don't think Kokko's prices are that unfair. The Canadian dollar is pretty weak right now and we do avoid being hit with customs if we were ordering internationally. Buying from them definitely isn't a good deal, but I don't believe they're being unreasonable about their prices.
Rent at Aberdeen is beyond overpriced which might be a good reason for their prices.

hahahahahhaha no
their prices are insane
3 grand for a julius leather ON SALE
and the same leather is 1 grand reg price online and i saw it go for as low as 500 bucks on sale, no way am i getting it in kokko
to be fair though japanese prices for julius are like way cheaper
but they have BBS 11 for a few hundred dollars more than it should be, jeez
honestly though, they price their comme scents fairly, and the guidi shoes look like they'd be about the same as ordering them online and paying customs to canada post
but everything else there is an awful deal

I do, though I think it differs item to item, obviously. The prices for BBS 11 are through the roof for what they should be, and Julius is off the charts. I think there is some validity in that, though the weakness of our dollar doesn't translate directly to them being fair. Canadian markup is just kind of a fact of life, though. I just stick with ordering from Japan and getting the very occasional piece from a store in Van.

bro it isnt free to run a business... None of us know their total costs of running the shop. But we do know the customs/taxes can get brutal and the CND (vs the US) dollar is the lowest I have remembered it in a long long time.
duties on clothes are 18%, tax is 13% (in ontario). that's already nearly a third markup just to get the item in to the country, never mind the shop costs etc.
and it's CAD. first two letters country code, third letter currency code. it is embarassing that even the government documents typically state "CDN"

Well this is true for EU stores as well (with some variations). In Germany for example it's 12% duty plus 19% VAT. I think duty is same in all EU but VAT differs up to 25%. With that said, I actually think quite a few north american stores are working with unreasonable high mark-ups.

Unreasonable maybe to you... The main factors you need to consider are rent, wages/salaries, risk factors and opportunity cost before you can make an assumption like that with any credence
beanie - vicious
tank - naska
level t-shirt - island
stooges - moody
cropped swingers - plinth
work boots - a diciannoveventitre
Swingers (esp. cropped) don't work here I think. Too much like sweatpants or something. I think a full length pant or one that has more overlap with the boot would look better both for the boots and the jacket. The drop crotch is also sort of distracting.
